There's something strange about Spring this year.
however after peeking out of the windows I was very puzzled.
What is all this white stuff?
I tried looking out through tinted colored glass.
It still looks like a snow blizzard to me !!!
Should I be confused?
"APRIL".
of course
I had chosen a Daffodil teaset in celebration of
our Springtime gathering today.
Hmm-m-m-m-m-m-m-m
IT DOESN'T MATTER
Does it !!!!
We can still have a rollicking teatime,
while sipping from this pretty Staffordshire pattern.
COME
Let us enjoy a "DIY Tea Factory" recipe called, Lemoncello. It is an organic artisan tea that is created in Quebec, Canada ... Although the factory advertises in French ... just viewing the site is a delightful experience. It quite easy to follow the ordering directions.
I buy the lemoncello online in a 3.5 oz. container which makes approximately fifty cups of full bodied flavor. The teas also come in larger quantities that are beautifully packaged and wrapped for a delectable choice of other tistanes flavors ... (www.thescg.ca )
My, Oh, My ... Isn't it a pretty container?
" Ma Petite Fabrique " which means "My little Factory" really makes a lovely and inexpensive gift... I always enjoy receiving these teas from my daughter as she knows my taste.
The brewing instruction have been engraved on the lid
of the can, ( such a nice touch) and that makes it
a user friendly tea.
The intoxicating essense of the ingredients( below)
can be experienced even before it has been brewed
( SMELL)
the
organic Indian black tea,
lemon peel( sulfitefree)
organic Italian lemon essential oil
and
chrysanthemun....
WOW !!!!
Oh Dear !!!!
I shall definately need a new pair of
rose colored glasses as I spy that...
IT IS STILL SNOWING.
This past two weeks, I have been recovering from
pneumonia, so Kim and I have been trying to catch up on belated birthday celebrations.
pneumonia, so Kim and I have been trying to catch up on belated birthday celebrations.
Kim always buys tulips and daffoldils for my
March Birthday.
The pussywillows and daffodils are late this year,
so this colorful bouquet of tulips definately
uplifted my spirits.
Various friends gifted me with sweet ornaments,
chocolates( which I should not have eaten)
and a local historical book
Since we live in an heritage home, it is a happy past-time keeping up with the community folklore and stories. Every once in a while, I come across some good old gossip to share( ha ha) but you can't tattle too much because everyone seems to be related. ( hee hee)
The way to my heart is a homemade lobster supper prepared by Hubby.
I am starting to feel a little spoiled ...( Tsk Tsk) I will just have to grin and bear it !!!
"YUMMY"
the best present of all is
a Baileys and Chocolate Mousse Cake that always put a smile on my Birthday boys' face.
Happy belated Birthdays to all the you Ladies,
who are are celebrating
Spring Birthdays.
ENJOY
your
WEEK-END

What a lovely post. Sorry to read you have been ill, hopefully you are now on the mend. I have never tried the tea but it would be nice to sit awhile and try it with you, maybe a little gossip as well. Take care.
Zaa, I'm so sorry you had pneumonia, but I'm glad you're getting over it now. Your yellow daffodil tea cup is so pretty, and I'm sure it adds some cheer in your home as you're still having all that snow! I am fascinated with all your beautiful porcelain figurines, and especially this one, because she's wearing a sweet yellow dress. I've never tried lemoncello before, but I heard it's really good. That's so nice that your children always buy you books to read. The Lobster is one of the only fish that I really like, it's so delicious dripping in butter.
I wanted to thank you for your prayers for my son. He is healing nicely, and all the comments and thoughts from my blog friends made me feel better and came at a time when I needed it the most.
Happy April days, Zaa. And your yellow porcelain lady made me smile this morning. She's a beauty.
~Sheri
So sorry you haven't been well, prayers for continued wellness! I enjoyed reading your post, and such a lovely tea cup set, the tea sounds delicious, great combination for sure.
Enjoy your flowers too.

Sue

Hi Zaa, nice to meet you! I'm sorry you've had pneumonia, I know how nasty it is, and hope you will soon be really well again. You have had an excessive winter this time, lots of the Canadian bloggers are suffering with it. Hope glorious spring soon starts for you. In the meantime, enjoy your tea in your Vicforian house and surrounded by your beautiful things. Hugs from Rhineland, Valerie

Birthday greetings! I'm just sorry to hear about the pneumonia -- definitely no fun! And add to it snow! Well, at least your cup is the perfect essence of spring and the lemoncello tea sounds divine. A good healer. That lobster looks like it could help, too! Lobster is always a good idea!

Such a delightful blog post on this dreary day - it's been trying to snow and rain and fortunately, not doing either successfully. ^^
Well we haven’t been getting quite that much snow but we did have some light flurries the other day. Sorry you have pneumonia. That is a tough one to shake and can zap you for a long time. I just celebrated my birthday in late March and was sick for it. I guess it’s going around big time. Well cheers to better days ahead and a quick meltdown and spring will be alive and well!

How I wish I could enjoy a cup of that delightful sounding tea...I'll bring us a teatime treat! I do love you Royal Doulton figurine. Isn't she a pretty one. My late beloved mom collected them, too. I do hope your snow melts away quickly and that springtime arrives!
April snow is difficult to deal with. Tea time though is always a perfect complement to snow time. I hope it melts quickly! The tea sounds divine.
How terrible to be ill during your birthday, Zaa. I'm so sorry and do hope you are feeling much better. You deserve an extra cup of that lovely tea. I will be sure to visit the website and check it out. I adore your lovely daffodil tea cup and saucer. So pretty--you have the most lovely tea cups. Your flowers are so pretty. Thanks so much for dropping by my blog cherischatter and leaving such a nice comment. Just quickly looking through your blog, it is just lovely. I will dig in after this comment:) We have a "teensy bit" of snow here in south GA once in a blue moon...and usually in Jan. or Feb. This year it was barely cold enough to get my winter coat out of storage!!! The weather here has been a little cooler for spring....which is awesome....because I SO DREAD the hot, hot summer. I envy people who really enjoy their hot tea. I have tried and tried to acquire the taste but I much prefer my sweet iced tea!!!! I do like a cup of hot tea when I have a cold or am feeling poorly, but I prefer coffee or hot cocoa. My sister just texted me tonight that she too has pneumonia. Hubby and I have been laid up this week with spring colds, probably caused by all the pine pollen that is covering EVERYTHING. I much prefer fall and winter:) Again, thanks for stopping by my place for a "chat" and I do hope you will come again.
Cheri.. Your blog was delightful and it got me into the Spring mod and out of the winter blues...Thanks for stopping by and please do come again soon... Hugs
I'm sorry you had pneumonia, but it sounds like you are doing better.
Lobster sounds lovely and your flowers are beautiful.
I need to check out that book - A Year in the Garden.
Snow in April!! UGH! It was 75 degrees here yesterday and we woke up to freezing rain today. Our flowers are just starting to pop out of the ground. I'm so sorry to hear about your pneumonia. My daughter is getting over the flu and walking pneumonia. It has been a rough winter. I love your tea cup. I'm going to have to look into getting that tea. My husband loves anything lemon. I on the other hand will join you in a glass of Bailey's, chocolate mousse and definitely a lobster. Now I'm hungry so I'm off to lunch! Feel better!
Thanks for the sweet visit Carol...WELCOME... I appreciate you taking time from the beach to enjoy a little teatime with me...Come again soon...Hugs
Hey Nancy ...
You on for the Bailey's( haha) and I even have a piece of cake left... YES, it's strange weather...It just can't seem to make up its mind... I'm still thinking about your little gingham bunny cards...So cute !!! Big Hugs
Oh,, no. Pneumonia! I am so happy to hear you are on the mend, and that it didn't affect your sense of humor or appreciation for all things beautiful. The loving gestures of family and friends surely contributed to your recovery. And Happy Belated Birthday, Zaa!
Thanks Chris ... It seems the bug is around for a lot of people... all we need is a little sunshine to brighten the way ... I so enjoyed your beautiful artwork... What an amazing talent you have... Thanks for the sweet visit...Hugs
Well being sick AND having all of that snow cannot be fun at all and not a nice way to welcome spring! Hope you feel better and that the snow goes away FAST! Your daffodil cup and saucer are just lovely. I think you better ask for a new pair of rose-colored glasses if that snow continues though!
Sorry, you have been ill! The snow kind of makes one ill too, doesn't it? We got more this morning but it is gone now and there will be more tomorrow night. Ugh! April is like that though in the Maritimes. Always playing jokes on us. Your teacup is a pretty one and the tea sounds lovely. Always enjoy seeing your lady figurines. She looks stunning with the teacup! Enjoy your weekend, Zaa, and stay well.
Ha Ha Lauren ... I agree ..everything looks better through rose-colored glasses.. So nice to visit with you, my friend...Hugs
Thank You, Sandy ...I always enjoy our teatime chat... Enjoy your week-end, sweet lady... Hugs
April is a lovely month. I remember it growing up in NY it sometimes snowed just when I thought we'll have a great weekend, lol...
I love that gorgeous teacup and the lovely lady figurine. My mom has one very similar.
Thanks for popping in to visit. Sorry I took a while visiting, but with my mom I don't have much time left.
Happy Easter season and Spring dear friend.
Fabby
Dearest Fabby ...
Cherish each moment with her... I lost my mother at Christmas 2018 so I know how precious time is...Thank You for your sweet visit, Dear Lady ...Blessings
Thanks for visiting me at Mary Elizabeth Writes - and for the comment (ha my first and only are from you!). I'm a tea drinking girl too, my BFF and I get together most weeks and have tea and little snacks. She pours, I talk. And she talks. She was my BFF in high school, we fell apart after graduation and have now, 50 years later, come back together loving one another as if no time at all had passed. Your tea table looks lovely.
Hey Mary Elizabeth ...How lovely to rekindle your friendship over tea...I feel privileged to have been your first visitor. Please come for tea often...Big Hugs
we are at F 70 (C 22) degrees now... enjoy a good weather....
hope, spring is coming to your place as well
Thanks Tanza... You need some ice tea( ha ha)..Hugs
Hello Zaa. Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving a comment.
I love the Daffodil tea cup. I'm a tea drinker, either Earl Grey or herbal but not much of a green tea fan.
So sorry to read you have been ill, I hope you are feeling lots better now.
I think the daffodil tea cup is gorgeous and perfect for Spring.
Take care of yourself.
All the best Jan
