Sunshine ... beautiful sunshine!!!

It's the first day of SPRING ... "YEAH" 

however

 We  still have snow !!!

It's double the amount that we had last year ...The good news is that temperatures are warming and it is melting quite quickly.

SOOOOO... 

I have  decided to look through my green colored glass for a more inspiration view...

Since, this is the month for the "wearing of the green "

 Let's enjoy a soft, meandering Royal Albert pattern called, " Ivy Lea".  If you're a tea lover you probably own a few romantic pieces of the Royal Albert china.

 Royal Albert was originally one of the six small pottery businesses that  make-up the famous " Potteries" in Stoke-on-Trent, England.

 It has quite an extensive history and has been in existence for over one hundred years.

You wouldn't believe how many different  patterns and shapes of cups there are !!!! 

Many of the early cup shapes were fluted and included the popular Japanese Imari patterns.

 "Ivy Lea" has a very wide, circular shape which is most beautifully called " Avon ".

Today, I'm besotted with the chosen color and decided to savour some green tea, in a belated tribute to my dear husband, McKim ... who was abroad during his birthday.( Boo Hoo)
       I'm smiling because, he has always considered himself 
   Irish, due to the fact that he was born on St Patrick's Day  ... 
                                             WELL,
                                   at least his name is, 
                            so we won't pop his bubble. 
 Kim has been away for nine weeks and we are all terribly eager to celebrate and eat  some scrumpcious cake with him.  
                           YES ... It's   almost " Partytime ". 

Here's a peek at the cupcakes the grand-children made for their Grandpa's homecoming. I must admit that the little darlings went creatively wild with their decorating, dipping their fingers into the icing and smacking their lips while licking the spoons and bowls and just generally getting into a sugar high of fun.

              Ladies... If you're wearing green today, you will be happy to know that you are psycologically considered to be practical, down-to-earth individuals with a love for nature.
                                 That's good to know!!!!

                     According to the psycology of colors .... 
Green lovers are also excellent  people to have around in a crisis as they remain calm and take control of the situation.

Let's  be sure to don our  green attire on a more regular
    basis because, research shows that it also means that,
                  " we are stable and well-balanced".( Ha Ha)

 Ivy is supposed to be symbolic of friendship and affection ... which  makes this friendly teaset the perfect choice for our teatime gatherings.

Did you notice the berry flowers on this china?

Apparently,  Ivy consists of both adult and jeuvenile leaves and at some point of it's life produces berries. I have never seen them, but I'll be looking this summer.

I do hope that you like green tea, because that's what is brewing in the teapot.

                         It will keep us warm and healthy.

March is a big birthday month for our household .... March 16th, 17th,18th and 29th ... That's alot of cake!!!

 Since my  Granny was Irish, there was always alot of beautiful Irish music too....When Irish Eye's Are Smiling, Danny Boy and my mother's favorite, I'm looking Over a Four Leaf Clover.

Yes ... The Emerald Isle is surely,
