"I think of the garden after the rain;
And hope to my heart comes singing.
At morn the cherry blossoms will be white,
And the Easter bells will be ringing!"
Hippity Hop, Hippity Hop ...This little Easter Bonnet was created for a Make-Magic Easter Bonnet Challenge that I was hosting on BorealisShine...
Bunnies, colored eggs , chicks and flowers were racing through my head when I first started the project . Then, suddenly a carrot landed on the top on the hat and a rabbit hopped onto the brim. Imagine my surprise !!!!
I very quickly, told Mr. Rabbit that it wasn't normal for bunnies to be on hats... but he reminded me that it was Easter. I quess that makes it a-OK ..Right !!!
Anyways , I had fun creating this little Easter Bonnet .... Now it's time for a cup of tea and some Hot Cross Buns ..Mmm-m-m-m-m-.
" Patience is a virtue" ... Family matters had heralded me away earlier this month ..but I'm back ... The kettle is on and the dainties are being baked. While we're waiting for teatime, how about taking a peek into " The Girls' Own Paper" from 1894.
It's entitled , Girls Attire; The Newest and Best... By the Lady Dressmaker... All the young ladies and woman of the era would be sure to have one of these beautiful summer capes and lace -trimmed bodices.... although I do believe it would be a hot sizzling summer with all that layering!!! Don't You !!!
