TEA AND POETRY

Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening

                                                 By Robert Frost
Whose woods these are I think I know.
                                    His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.

My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.

He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound’s the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.

The woods are lovely, dark and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep

What could be better than enjoying a cup of tea at a friends house and enjoying the  last of the Christmas baking .

shortbread  and fruitcake.

It's such  a naughty thing to do but alas somebody has to do it( Yum Yum ) The most difficult
activity of the year for me is taking down the decorations... and turning off the twinkling lights.
It seems in the New year you sometimes have to create your own sunshine.( bling bling)

So I'm putting the lid on the  cough syrup and  Vicks and heralding in some new resolutions, which I hope I can keep throughout the year... Number one is no more sweets, um-m-m-m, that's a hard one. So let's  think about it over tea ... Let me pour you a cup of tea too...We can ponder this one together....  " No more Sweets ".

This is you cup today.. a lovely Coalport  teaset that reminded me of the vast colours of the  sunset.

It's a mottled beauty with  lovely gold fluted edges and a floral motif inside. I hope you enjoy it.

My Japanese Friend, Chie sent me this ' Paradise " Tea for Christmas ...  She knows how very much I love it, so I am pleased to share this floral oolong tea with you. It whispers with just a hint of Jasmine
                                                    and pineapple ... m-m-m-m-good.

I often think that Paradise is simply a euphoric state of being . Perhaps, that is where the New Year       has brought us all ... Into a paradise of beauty, where we can share, create and be Thankful, for yet
another glimpse of God's  poetic gifts.

                                                        Have a glorious day Ladies.
                                                       Thanks  for the teatime visits.

I'm sharing with Sandi and friends at ' Rose Chintz Cottage"
